We want to work with educators

Students should not need a corporate account or a powerful computer to experiment with or learn about generative AI. Educators should be able to route coursework through services that will not change their terms, their pricing, or their content policies without notice.

This post is aimed at educators and institutions considering the use of generative AI tools in the classroom.

Students should not need a corporate account or a powerful computer to experiment with generative AI. Educators should be able to route coursework through services that will not change terms, pricing, or content policies without notice.

If you are an educator looking to integrate AI into your teaching - whether for general digital literacy, high school computer science, university digital humanities, or anything in between - we want to work with you.

What we are offering:

Educational projects can receive priority access on the AI Horde network based on their needs. That means quick responses and reliable availability for your students. We are also happy to work directly with educators to ensure the technical setup is as smooth as possible for a classroom context.

And because AI Horde is free, you do not need a budget-line from management.

On content safety:

We take content moderation seriously, particularly around illegal content and content inappropriate for minors. We have invested significant effort into filtering (including custom software) and we continually improve these systems. We believe in full transparency about how these systems work and are happy to discuss specific requirements with institutions directly.

What we are looking for:

As a non-profit organization, we are not prescriptive about how you use our services. If you have a course or a project where access to generative AI would be useful, we would like to hear from you. We are a small team, so you can expect to have a real conversation with people who are passionate about equitable, educational and artistic use of generative AI.
