AI-Horde

The AI Horde is a free, community-powered service that provides open access to generative AI. Volunteers around the world share spare computer power to form a distributed computing cluster, enabling anyone to generate images and text at no cost. There is no account required, no paywall, no credit card to get access. The project is built and maintained by Haidra, a registered non-profit association (ASBL) under Luxembourg law.

In the tradition of volunteer computing projects like Folding@home, AI Horde connects people who have idle computing power with people who need it. Users submit requests through any of dozens of third-party apps, bots, and integrations; volunteer-run workers pick up those jobs, generate the results, and return them. Developers can interact with our service through our API.

All of our software is open source. Priority in the queue is earned exclusively by contributing compute and it our terms of service forbid it being purchased or sold. AI Horde is funded by public donations and by NLnet / NGI0 Core (Next Generation Internet). No surplus is ever distributed to members or third parties.
